I confess I've been a huge fan of Amazon since the dot-com days. Their humble beginnings as online booksellers with a super cool customer experience won me over. When you ordered books from them they always delivered as promised. Presently you can buy practically anything from Amazon, they have become a 'net behemoth.

Today they announced a new $199 tablet called Kindle Fire. You can read all about it online. However, I am intrigued by their Amazon Silk browser. It uses an interesting approach to delivering content by leveraging the Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud (EC2) which I had the good fortune of learning about from consultants on my team.
